Hello my fellow Santa's,

It has been awhile since I have entered anything on here. This Santa was really busy this Christmas. First it started out on Thanksgiving Day not feeling very good in the evening. I went to bed early and ended up staying there for 3 days with a 102 temp. I had a compounded sinus infection that had settled in my ears. Between that and my CPAP machine set at 18 the pressure had to go somewhere so it went out my right eardrum. I went to the DR to see why I could not hear out of my right ear and found out that I had a ruptured eardrum, six holes. This affected my balance and it was not fun watching the room move around. I started feeling better just before my first gig. I was not able to drive my school bus so I went on sick leave till Jan 2. Since I could not drive my bus I started do a lot of late minute booking I ended up with about 25 – 40 gigs. I even had one on the Saturday the 29th. The family was not able to get everyone together till then. It was a blast. I did my whole season with only one good ear and the other giving me some pain. As of right no my ear is doing great. I have lost some of my high pitch hearing in it. I am hoping it will come back. I sing tenor and I could not get to the right notes.

My other problem was and still is for now is my MOM. She has Alzimers and had stopped swallowing just before Christmas. She was rushed to the hospital. They adjusted her meds and she started swallowing again. Today I received that she is not doing very good. A stomach virus had broken out in the nursing home and she is very sick. I am not sure she is going to pull out of this. I will be flying to Arkansas on Sunday from Seattle to Texarkana, Arkansas. To stay with my dad and see my mom for the last few times that she is still with us. She is hospice care and I am a hospice volunteer here in Yakima. I also belong to Santa-America. With the help of Jesus and my training will get me through this. As some of you know from this summer I had problems with the hard water back there. It made my hair turn color. I am planning to use bottled water this time I had let my hair and beard grow out till today. My beard was 11 inches from my lower lip down. My hair was to the middle of my shoulder blades. My beard now is about 4 – 5 inches and my hair is just o the top of my collar. I want to look my best for my mom. There are just some things that a Santa has to do. I am taking my Santa cheer with me but it is going to be really hard to hold on to it.

Have a great day and I will get back with you in about a month or so.
