Mrs. Claus came home today and fired up the old wood stove in her kitchen.

"It's time to get some Christmas going at the North Pole!" Mrs. Claus declared. "Let's make some cookies!"

Mrs. Claus cookies are the best in the world. Santa loves them but the elves here at the North Pole just go crazy for them. The big party at Santa's house on Christmas Eve is all about the cookies when Santa is in flight. We eat lots of cookies because we get so nervous!

Mrs. Claus wants you to know how to leave cookies out for Santa. Santa loves many kinds of cookies...in fact, she said it is a good idea that not all kids should leave out sugar cookies. Santa loves gingerbread cookies, chocolate chip cookies, no-bake cookies, and gingersnaps. So don't worry about what kind of cookie to make. But MAKE the cookies-- do not just buy them. That is very important. To Santa, it just tastes better when they are made with love.

When you leave cookies for Santa don't forget to leave out at least 9 carrots for the reindeer, too. To them carrots are better than cookies. Also, Santa loves it when you leave a little note for him in your stocking. (Thank you notes makes Santa cry, they make him so happy when you are so kind to do that).

Speaking of which, you should leave out chocolate chip cookies for Santa and not macaroons. This Santa's MySpace blog says he hates macaroons: http://blog.myspace.com/santaclausiswatching

So as long as it's not macaroons. As usual, Santa hates them!

we always have made snickerdoodles, because in our family the boys think the snickerdoodles recipe was created by elves. Well, that's what their PawPaw told them, and he'd NEVER lie! LOL (with a name like snickerdoodles, it's very possible! LOL)

This year, we're going to San Antonio to be with family, so we will bring snickerdoodles with us. (MIL doesn't cook, LOL)

My kids always wanna leave a Coke for Santa, because of the commercials!

Or quoteth one little girl and her dad from a commercial in '01:

Dad: Woah, those must've been some cookies you left Santa.
Girl: I didn't leave him cookies, I left him cheese.

And once again, this Santa says you must leave him chocolate chip cookies (as he hates macaroons): http://blog.myspace.com/santaclausiswatching
