Elf Billy in Santa's Weather Center Reports several weather challenges are facing Santa as he prepares to take his trip around the world later tonight.
"We have sand storms in South African deserts," said Elf Billy, "and we have heavy snow in Germany. The Northern Siberian provinces are suffering from white out conditions while the Australian Outback is enduring record heat. Santa is going to face it all tonight."
While Santa has never failed in his Christmas mission there are still a number of challenges to overcome worldwide not the least of which is the weather.
Up here at the North Pole Santa will be launching in blizzard conditions again this year. The reindeer love to start out the trip in such a cool fashion. But within hours they will have to endure the heat. Santa reminds the kids in homes located in warm locations to not only leave out carrots for the reindeer but also plenty of water.
