In just a few short hours now Santa will be in flight to destinations all over the world. These are magical hours for those of us living at the North Pole.

Many of us spend the last few hours helping out in the Wrapping Department, if Elf Wally needs us. But most of us will bundle up the kids and head on over to Santa's Stables. Yes, it is cold outside but we wouldn't miss Santa's launch for all the egg nog in Toledo.

Just a many kids and families gather to watch fireworks we all get together for the launching of Santa's sleigh. If you haven't seen it you're missing out. Santa starts out on the ground -- the same ground where the reindeer run their races during the reindeer games. For about 500 yards Santa slowly picks up speed with his bells jingling. The he shoots off like a rocket into the sky. It is
beautiful to see.

The weather outside here is terrible. But that won't matter. The firey vapor trail that Santa leaves behind will make it very easy to see.

Right now, more than 2000 elf families are waiting in the barnyard and many more are expected in the next few hours. I'll keep you posted.

Stay tuned to these pages for more news on Santa and Operation Merry Christmas 2005.
