For the moment Santa has bypassed Australia and instead headed north to the Soloman Islands. These tiny islands are home to many believers in Santa. From this point, Santa could head north towards Japan or Guam or even west towards Australia. It is hard to tell.

Although the elves in the tracking department work out plans for Santa's flight he never follows them. He doesn't even take a list of addresses with him. He just knows where to go every year. So we track his movements every Christmas Eve and we're just as surprised as you are when Santa takes an unexpected turn.

Stay tuned to these pages for more news on Santa and Operation Merry Christmas 2005.
