Well it's been 5 weeks when many of us took our decorations down though there are some Christmas Trees still lying on the road but there's this house that still has their decoration up. I go past it everytime I go into town on bus. They have this reindeer on the roof which lights up at night and it's still up now :) I can't help but look at it all the time. One of our neighbours few years ago had their Christmas lights out till April once.

I am not sure if that makes them a Christmas nut as opposed to just too lazy to take it down :-)...but there are people here who also have lights out still as we head into Feb.

I also noticed a house here recently that still had their lights up. And on in the evenings. My lights are still up outside but not on. And I also have a few Christmas things on the shelves inside..

We still have outside lights up. But not on. It's just been too darn cold to go out for a long period of time.

There are several houses around town that leave their lights up all year. They don't turn them on, but they are still up. My neighbors have theirs up and turned them on over the weekend. He has been in Iraq with the National Guard for a while, and he finally got to come home. They had Christmas with him over the weekend. It was nice to see the lights. I was very happy for them.

I think they're just lazy to take it down cause its winter out and cold and stuff...thats why some stay for a month or 2 after Christmas. I don't mind...it's kind of cool to see people who still have their lights up even if others drive by saying they are whacked.

*L Yes I am sure some people do drive by saying those people must be crazy. I usually leave my outside lights up and not on all year. But the switch to turn the outside light on is located in my home. One day my daughter turned them on during the day and I didn't realise this. We had left and when we returned home later that evening the house was lit all up...*L And this was like in June or something...*LOL...
Oh well people can think what they want I guess.

some people consider it bad luck to do that but I don't :). I think its great to keep your outside Christmas lights on all year round (and a few roads away one house does that!) but I personally don't do that but if I was persuaded to I would cheesy
