Baby sister won gold metal in special olympics

She received her metal in figure skating, we are all so proud of her, now she is in the running to be picked to go to the nationals. We'll have to wait to see if they pick her.

I have a cousin who was in the special olympics a few years ago for running. She won silver.

They have an article on the games in our paper today along with photos from her event yesterday. It is in the sports page @ Democrat And Chronicle.com, She is in the 10th & 11 photo , it shows her doing her routine.

She will be competing for 2 weeks in Boise, Idaho in Feb. She is so excited & we are so happy for her.

She has to go to Colorado for a weeks training in Dec. then she will be in Boise, Idaho for 2 weeks for the world games in Feb. , So we are all hoping we can be there to watch her.

She had a college student following her from the first day up to when she won the Gold at the state games. She was in the local newspaper after the event.

We got a call from Todd the reporter with her to let us know her story will be on the internet this Thrusday( May 1st) at www. Frost Bite Sports.com, so if you'd like to see the article it will be on there along with some pics.
