http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_3_15.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZRxdm473YYUS)I know alot of us here have lost someone close to us this past year & I was wondering who you'll be remembering this Easter.
For me it will be my cousin who passed away suddenly last month, so on Easter Sunday there will be a plate at our dinner table set for him.
So I was wondering if you like to share this with us.

I always think about the grandparents, especially of my grandmothers as she died 3 years ago on Easter. She was my last living grandparent. My husbands last living grandparent, his grandmother died last year.

Mammaduke, the holiday's are always emotional to me. I will especially miss my Gram. She was such a spiritual person and church service isn't the same without her. My girlfriend's husband passed away very suddenly in December (12) and Chrismas was so painful for her. She will be facing her first Easter without him and will be in my prayers.

Thank you for sharing that with us, I'll say a prayer for all those lost before we start with our meal this Easter & I'll light a candle in there memory that evening . Then we'll place it in our window as we do every holiday in memory of those not with us.

Most definately. We need to make those around us know just how important they are and to also make them aware how precious memories are of loved ones who are no longer with us. It helps to keep their spirit alive.

I always remember my father and grandparents, especially my maternal grandfather. I miss them all the time, but especially around holidays.

I'm like Annette. I don't need a holiday to remember people. Those you've loved and lost are with you 24/7, 365 days a year.

I also remember those I have lost in my life everyday, but I find it especially hard durning the holidays. This year will be hard for me with the loss of my girlfriend, my uncle, a member of my leukemia group, & my cousin.

Easter is a time to recall that the sacrifice of our Savior assures us that we will see those loved ones again someday...that is the joy of this holiday. Happy Easter to all and may God keep all those we have loved and lost as well as those present in this world in his most tender care.

When I think about those that I've lost, I find it immensely comforting to picture them in the much better place that they surely are. And to remember the good times that we shared and smile! I had a close friend die and while I was greiving, another friend said something like "feel your pain, thank God for the time you shared than move on, don't be selfish, share what he taught you!" I was a little angry at first but then I realized that my friend was right...So from that day forward I've attempted to share what my good friend who passed away taught me...He was the greatest man I've ever known...By the way, his name was Brian!
