What color lights do you like best???

I love Christmas lights... I use clear for most of my trees and multi colored lights for the kids' trees...

As I stated we use multi colored on the tree in the living room & white ones on the other 2 trees. I also have garland with white lights around my angels & the 1/2 wall in the living room.

We've got multi-colored on the main tree in the living room but some of them have to twinkle - it's mandatory!!!!!

At work because, we have to do things "properly" (and the battle I fought to get Christmas trees in the first place was unreal) the lights are clear - I guess the thought is that clear won't clash with brides/bridesmaids dresses and less is morecheesy

I'm a huge fan of multi-colored lights. To me a tree/decorations just isn't the same if it's all one color or if it's got just clear lights. I'm a dork like that! :yahoo:

I love white lights on the tree, my spouse loves colored lights.

We compromise. I get my white lights on the main tree, he gets colored lights on the tree in our bedroom, and the remaining trees are some of each.

I use white lights on the outside garland, multi-colored on the inside garland.

Other lights depend on where they are going.....

Yea, I love white lights too Rack. They seem much classier to me. Multi-colored lights are fun, but I just love white lights gleaming on a tree or garland, or on the outside of a house.

I like different ones for different locations. Im a big fan of just white lights in my room, or to decorate the roof.
Plain ones for the mantles and steps.
Multi color for the tree and house, so due to all the colors I have to choose multi.

I like white/silver trees with lovely white coloured lights, but I also like normal green trees with multiple lights (which is probably my favourite overall)... I probably put a bunch of one-colour lights as well as multiple-colour lights :tree:

For the main tree, I like to use clear lights so that it doesn't detract from the ornaments but for outside and the kids' small trees, I like the colored lights. They're definitely more festive, I think. There's a certain sophistication though with a house that has all clear lights on their house...I like those too.

:wiggy: This is how my tree in my family room looks. My Son and DH love the colored lights that move... I get dizzy sometimes looking at it!!! I like white lights and that is what is on MY tree in the parlor. But I lose the battle once again outside. My men went and bought blue icicle lights and you guessed it.. they move!!!! I am out numbered.. whats a girl to do?

I voted for multi color because they are my favorite but it really depends on where the lights are! I put white/ clear lights outside because my house is white with green shutters and a green front door so I think the white looks nice against the green. But I put multi colored lights on my tree in our living room and this year we are putting a tree in our basement/family room too. We are undecided if we will do white/clear or multi colored lights down there!

Clear are great when you want to kick it old school & for years that's what we used, now we've got a few hundred clear on the tree & multicolored to highlight it, I've always thought multi looked magical, like the tree was full of fairies

For me, I love using the multi colored lights not only for our tree but for the outside as well. However, I use the clear icicle lights only.

I couldn't vote because I like both. My main tree in the living room is always clear lights for I love to decorate with clear ornaments and anything that glitters and clear lights really showcase the ornaments.

The tree downstairs is usually colored but I have done my tree in white and one solid color.
And my small wall trees some have clear and some have colored. Tree in my bedroom is always colored.

I remember when I was growing up my dad did our tree in all blue lights, these were the old fashion bulb lights and our tree really looked pretty.

I do a combination of both clear and colored lights outside.

My tree looks like a light show gone awry! We have these LED lights that fade from blue to red, and green to blue (I think) what does happen though is it turns an orange and purple between this change - not pretty! Add the flashing star topper, and well you just don't see that anywhere! :treeguy: lol
