Gotta tell you...the last couple of years it has actually been a DVD from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir -- from the 2003 concert that was on PBS with Bryn Terfel and Frederica Von Stade. Great, heartfelt orchestrations. Really unique stuff. A ton of fun to watch, too.

Has anyone ever heard the Chicago christmas cd? I think that is one of my favorites. I love the contemporary twist on the classic songs.

:) Does anyone know if they've put the old Firestone Christmas Albums onto cd? I can't seem to find them anywhere. :)

Hey snowberry! Glad to see you here too!
I've never seen any Firestone CDs. There are plenty of the LPs in the flea markets though. The probable reason that these LPs haven't been released to CD is because the vast majority of the tunes on them are readily available on other CD compilations.
Perhaps a label will re-release them for nostalgic reasons someday.
My favorite cds are Bing Crosby, Burl Ives and Ray Coniff Orchestra. Excellent and very traditional...got lots others but those are the ones I always start the season and end the season with.
