Im just in one of my Christmassy moods today... its kind of cold here today and windy so the kids and I are staying in were sitting here watching Elf and I've been online buying new Christmas ornaments.
When the movie's over were going to make a batch of cookies....
Anyone else doing anything Christmassy today???:hello:

It is a cool, drippy day here too...snow level looks like it dropped to about 5500 feet last night as the mountains are blanketed in white. I'll be working today :(

I am feeling very Christmassy today. I plan on listening to some Christmas music while I while I do some cleaning around my apartment. Then probably watch a coupleof Christmas movies.

Your last entry sounded VERY Christmassy, the Christmasnut!!! And yours too, Mumof2!! I DID accomplish things this week. I sorted things into bankers boxes -- gifts (by type), decorations; wrappings, etc. Not finished - and I don't have an inventory yet. But the progress in getting things organized feels great! Also, the Christmas notebook now has calendar pages for 2008!

Holiday - Thank you SO MUCH for posting the holiday shows for the week!!!! It makes it SO much easier for me to do routine things while I watch them! Things like the endless cycle of putting away groceries, cooking, doing dishes and cleaning the kitchen. I don't do elaborate meals, but it does take lots of time. I don't have a crockpot though, and people do say they save lots of effort.

Yes Sparklenana....it is so much easier to do the "boring chores" with a little Christmas added in....I like to listen to either Christmas music or as you suggested have a Christmas movie playing....don;t really sit down and watch...gotta keep moving or ALL is lost...LOL....but is nice to hear the familar exchanges and watch a good scene every once in awhile.

Today - somewhere on this forum - someone printed a press release from the Lifetime Cable TV channel about Christmas in July. Apparently Christmas movies will begin at 9 AM on the 4th of July. And go all day. There will be lots more on the weekend. This news immediately started my planning -- lots of tough, routine work can get done while those Christmas movies are playing. You're right, Gingerbug, no sitting down to watch -- the movies inspire work (while listening intently, and glancing up frequently!)

Of course -- after enough work has been done to exhaust the worker, it is advisable to sit down and WATCH the remaining Christmas movies intently. ALSO, if there is a Christmas movie which is completely new and unseen by the worker, the rules allow the worker to suspend all activity and watch the movie with full attention!!
