Recently, I was looking through Legendary Santa Claus' lists of the various on the web groups dedicated specifically to Santa, and I noticed something interesting in the listing identifying my Yahoo! Group, The Santa Rebels. I launched the group in 2004, which would, as of this year, make it five years that I have served as Founder and Moderator of "Santa World Group," as the listing specifically identifies it. Man, five years! Boy, we Santa Rebels have accomplished much in that time. Well, actually, I admit to have done at least 80% of the accomplishing, since I've written a few of the missives I've posted there myself.
Still, we're coming up on our 2000th Posting in the Santa Rebels; looking forward to that particular milestone. That'll take a lot of time, and it'll also remind me, too, that as a Santa (and at that, a low-budget one), I still have a lot to accomplish. All this pales, though, when I recall the best Santa moment I ever had from last year, when I used the stainless-steel sculpture called The Railrider's Throne, in the 116th Street/Columbia University subway station, to explore firsthand the world from Santa's point of view when he sits on the big chair. What a thrill that experience was! Needless to say, I have every intention of doing it again this year! Ho-ho-ho!
I've had a lot of fun, and I've discovered a lot and revealed much since I launched the Rebels; eventually, I ended up here at ClausNET.com; where I bring a lot of my good sense of humor and proper common sense to the place. And I'm not afraid to ask any questions, either.
I just hope the next five years of The Santa Rebels will give me even more incredible Santa experiences. In that respect, I can only say: Stay tuned!
