One of my favorite memories from my childhood is of sitting around during the hours just after school and before the evening programs started, watching the short Christmas programs like Susie Snowflake and Hardrock, Coco and Joe. They were in black and white and actually were much older than I was, probably made in the 50s. There are some really good websites out there with pictures and theme music from these shows. Just search for either title and enjoy what you find. Additional note: You can read about it on Wikipedia.com and here's a link I found where you can watch it: http://www.nantyglo.com/Christmas/HardrockCoco_andJoe.htm

I love this! I have never seen this before. I wish t.v. would play more classics like this. I would love to be able to buy a collection of all the old Christmas shows.

Interesting SheepSnot. Before getting the Gene Autry disc, I had never herad the song. Until now, I never knew it was a short film subject either. Thanks for sharing.

Well I'm a little too young to have known the Suzy Snowflake cartoon but boy did my mother raise us on that song. Not to many people I know, know the song.

I went out on Ebay and bought some Hardrock, Coco and Joe refrigerator magnets. Stupid idea. Really bad magnets, too. Looks like someone took a black and white picture out of a newspaper and glued it to a magnet. As long as there are guys like me out there, Ebay has a solid future.
