Join us in the Christmas Cupboard for a chat about getting organized for Christmas.

We will share ideas and tips for organizing throughout the year so the holiday season is a time to enjoy with most of the preparations finished. Possible topics for discussion are organizing the gift closet, stocking stuffer strategies, and other year round prep ideas!!

Thanks everyone I hope you can get there...some people have said that "organizing " isn't very interesting...LOL

We ALWAYS are interesting in chat ....no matter the topic... I envision this as sharing great ideas and tips for organizing through the year like some discussion of Rudolph Day and little mini projects that help ease the burden and rush of the actual the season.

Do you have to have a certain number of posts? When I clicked on any of the chat buttons it asked for the id and password... I entered mine and it said "invalid". Do you have to sign up separately for this feature?

Yes you do need a certain number....25 posts. Now when some got their 25...they had to log out and log back in ( to the Merry forums)to get it to update...so it recognized their 25...not sure if that will happen to you or not.

Then you click on the balloons at the top and it will take you into chat. Once in chat...right at the top of the chat wondow (where peoples comments appear)...there is a bar and it will say Christmas Chatter...to the right are two little up down arrows....Click those and a drop down will appear....scroll to the bottom and click on The Christmas Cupboard and it will then enter The Christmas Cupboard.....some people get confused and try clicking on the list to the right....those are just a list of the rooms and shows how many and who are in each room.

Well our first Organizing for Christmas chat went spendidly...we talked about Christmas notebooks, list making, setting up a time line, master shopping list for food and iogredients, and other assorted things.

Angiejo...sorry you missed the chat. The primary discussions centered around:

Setting up a notebook, how to do it, how to make it useful, forms etc How to move from PLANNING to DOING!!

Menu planning and making a master list of ingredients, shopping early from this list to help the budget....buying the nonperishables and freezing stuff that will be needed etc.

Creating DRY INGREDIENT BAGS to sped up and simplify baking. You can read more about this topic at Magic Holiday Home...we will be setting up some during our Christmas in July celebration

And party planning: tips and ideas for theme parties and entertaining.

It's sort of hard to describe chat because there are so many dynamic ideas that get brought up. I hope you can join us at a future chat.
