We're so excited about the new stuff we're working on for Merry Christmas Radio that we're dedicating this special spot on the forums to talk about it.

Merry Christmas Radio is led by JayIsh, our resident expert of programming who will update us here from time to time on what's new and what's coming soon to Merry Christmas Radio. We'll have great music, as always, but also special programming not found ANYWHERE else including specialty shows, interviews, old time radio programs and other great features.

Listening is free -- and participating here is going to be fun. In the near future, Jay will be taking requests, posting dedications, and TALKING about everyone here...ON THE RADIO.

Come one, come all -- have fun and be famous!

I've had an absolute ball with this whole thing...There has been a major learning curve...And it's still curving...But I'm getting there!!! Look for my first show to be uploaded this weekend followed by others with themes, random thoughts, good cheer, peace on earth and goodwill towards men and women...So if you have a favorite song, want to send a dedication, have a topic you'd like to hear discussed, email me at Jay@merrychristmasradio.com and we'll see what we can do!!! Jeff tried to convince me to play Barbra Streisand non-stop for the first few shows but I said no...(just kidding)

If you know a celebrity or Christmas related author, musician, actor, whatever, let me know and I will try to set up an interview with them if they'd be interested!!! I've got a few up my sleeve with some others brewing...

Hope you all enjoy what I'm about to try!!! Let me know what you like, what you don't...what you think, what you don't...We'll be adding to the already wholehearted community spirit found at MMC!!!

I'll do my best...But don't be surprised if I sound like Mel Tillis on a walkie-talkie for a while...

Jay, I was listening today and heard an intro by you. Is that the show you're talking about? How often is it on?

Two comments on both of your shows. I caught the new show today (afternoon show 12 - 3) Thanks again for giving my song a spin, but I have to say the thing I liked the best was that Fred Waring & the Pennsylvanians medley. I hadn't heard that since I was a kid! Really took me back in time.
Comment two - The evening show is fantastic. I feel like I've been transported back in time to 921 Vivian Street in Pasadena, where I grew up. We listened to all of those songs on a huge "Hi-Fi" that was about 4 feet long and 3 feet high. Those times started my deep love for Christmas and your show just takes me back to that time every time I listen. Thanks for both shows. Keep up the great work!

Tim!

You da man!

I love your song...

So much of the Christmas music that I love is stuff that traditionally filled our house during the season...And then, when I had a little money of my own, I still remember how cool it was to choose and buy the records, cassettes and later discs that I wanted...I was real into the new stuff then but now seem to be heading back to the more traditional stuff that jogs the memory. Even in the darkest hours, Christmas music has brightened my mood...a refuge of sorts...And I say..."God Bless it!"
