Making Christmas gifts

Good Evening all! And Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there!!!

I started making Christmas gifts this evening!! I am so proud! My son and I are making key chains for the Grandparents, Uncles and Aunts!

We recently purchased a family portrait package from Sears. I love the picture but it came with all these little pictures. I put them aside thinking what am I going to do with these. I was looking through a box of old pictures and found the same size picture of my son when he was about 3 months old. I then found plastic key chains that the pictures can slid into. So this is what we are making. Picture keychains. One side is Joseph at 3 months and the other side is the whole family (taken about a month ago). I am kinda excited (plus it didn't cost anything as it is stuff I already had) I'll keep you posted!!!:gift:

Having problems.. Can't get the key chain open to insert the pix.. gotta call on the DH.. I was SOOOOO trying to do this without him just to say I did.. oh well.. Crafts before Pride!!!!

I am browsing through the flea markets this summer to collect pretty tea cups and then I will make candles in them. That will be my gift this year. Looks very pretty and doesn't cost much and who doesn't like candles ??

Kerst, I did the samething last year,they were a big hit with my girlfriends and sisters.

It is always so satisfying when your ideas come to life and seeing their faces when you give them the gift you made.

This year im making purses for the nieces and backpacks for the nephews.I'll be starting soon. :)

Those are great gift ideas. A friend of mine gave me and other close friends framed pictures with a special poem for each recipient. The pictures were of us at a 70's birthday party. I have it on the wall in my bedroom.
