Welcome all new members...we now have 18 members here in the Christmas Planner group and anyone else who would like to join is MORE than welcome so jump right in!! When I set up the group I was thinking specifically about Christmas Notebooks or Planners....but everytime I see the group title I am reminded that WE are Christmas Planners....LOL...so I think the group can take on a bit of a broader topic than just the notebooks or planners themselves.....so today let's each share our BEST Christmas Planning Tip....

I'll go first....my very best TIP is to use Rudolph Day EVERY month....and this year I made a master list for the year so I know what I want to accomplish each month...and yes there are months...it just doesn't happen but still....I usually get at least something DONE

To see my list from May to November visit THIS PAGE (http://rudolphday.blogspot.com/2008/04/rudolph-days-2008-may-november.html)of my Rudolph Day Journal

Okay...lets hear from each of you...what is your BEST TIP????

I, too, would say that I plan to use Rudolph Day wisely. I will be trying out new recipes so I can decide which ones would be special for my Christmas baking/cooking. I plan to do this every 25th of each month. When school is in session, I plan to share the goodies with my students so they can give me their opinions on the "keepers."

This is really thought-provoking, Gingerbug! This will sound strange -- but for me, the best planning tip is to "put on our own oxygen masks first". If we can be rested, happy and peaceful, we will make Christmas so much happier for everyone we come into contact with. So - finding out what our loved ones enjoy most about Christmas and making sure those things are met. And then - doing PLENTY of things that give us joy (and I'm not talking about spending lots of money. I'm talking about listening to Christmas music and watching specials on TV, burning a delicious-smelling candle. Giving ourselves time to drive around looking at Christmas lights. Going to the mall and buying a Starbucks Eggnog latte - and walking around and enjoying all the decorations.

My best tip is use Rudolph days!!! On Rudolph days, I try to stay in my jammies, drink hot chocolate and watch movies and do crafts!

You will be surprised on how much you will have done by christmas if you plan every month till then!!

My best tip is to create a master list and time line of EVERYTHING you need to do...it looks overwhelming, but breaking chores and activities down day by day makes it so much more manageable..and things don't sneak up on you at the last minute!
