Welcome to our newest member, AMcLoud
My name is Ron, I am a Christmas nut always have been always will be. I am first and foremost a stay at home dad that has an evening job at a retail/grocery establishment. After my second son was born I stepped down from my management position, so my wife and I don't have to pay for daycare. My wife is a teacher in the town we live, so people recognize us everywhere in our little town.
My wife and I have been married for 9 years. We have 2 boys aged 6 and 3, both are young Christmas nuts.

I have loved Christmas as long as I remember
from seeing the lights on all the houses, to seeing if I could stay awake to see Santa.
Christmas has been the one constant in my life it has always been there for me, through the rough times of my parents divorce when I was 10 y/o or my mother's passing when I was 16.
Everyone always tried to make it something special for myself and sister when we were young no matter what was going on. I now believe that is why I love this time of year more than any other because of the efforts of my family to hold it above any other time of year. I get to make the season special for my boys now, whether it be by playing the music decorating the house and yard or just playing the dvd's. The memories the season has brought have always warm and it is no wonder why I look forward to making more of these memories every year. My favorite Christmas movie is A Christmas Story my favorite Christmas song is O Holy Night. My favorite Christmas artist is Bing Crosby.
Well if I ran on a little bit I am sorry I am new to blogging, it sounds always better in your mind.
I will try to keep posting and making it interesting for all who read.

I am feeling better today thanks to LC, his laugh has been the best medicine for me.

Here we sit in early Autumn, the Halloween decorations are up and now starts the waiting, the waiting for the season I wait for all year long. The longest stretch of the year is right now for me as I have felt that way ever since childhood. I always had to tell myself once Halloween gets here it is all down hill from there, the rush to Christmas starts for me November 1. I will take down the Halloween decorations down that day in order to get prepped for the Christmas decorations. I am doing the waiting game now, our fall activity list is nearly done with the apple picking, pumpkin picking, decorating, the Big E (which I forgot stands for Expensive). A few things we will probably do like going up to Yankee Candle again, maybe a haunted hayride for the first time in JP's life, a trip to a corn maze, and of course the annual fall event the raking of the leaves which is the only one set in stone. Christmas is so close right now I can smell it some days in the air, and even though the stores up in my area of the world seem to be torturing me by not having their Christmas goods in sight for me to see, I keep going back to stores that have a little set just to get that first warm Christmas feeling in my heart. It is such a great feeling and I cannot wait for it to be around full time. Driving through my small town on Sunday we drove by the aptly named Garland's Christmas Store and all the trees and windows were lit up as the owner was sweeping the walkway, so close to opening for the season, I can't wait to see it open up.
As I was taking LC's summer clothes out of his dresser and filling it with his cold weather clothes, I couldn't resist putting in a CD and listening to the festive sounds of the season. It was great hearing the CD uninterrupted skipping around on shuffle mode from Stevie Wonder's Someday At Christmas which sometimes brings a tear to my eye to Dominick the Donkey, to Little Saint Nick, and others. Only 24 more days until Music Choice has it 24/7. I cannot wait.

Santa is getting ready, stores are getting ready, and I AM ready.
