Welcome to our newest member, AmyHardy
My name is Ron, I am a Christmas nut always have been always will be. I am first and foremost a stay at home dad that has an evening job at a retail/grocery establishment. After my second son was born I stepped down from my management position, so my wife and I don't have to pay for daycare. My wife is a teacher in the town we live, so people recognize us everywhere in our little town.
My wife and I have been married for 9 years. We have 2 boys aged 6 and 3, both are young Christmas nuts.

I have loved Christmas as long as I remember
from seeing the lights on all the houses, to seeing if I could stay awake to see Santa.
Christmas has been the one constant in my life it has always been there for me, through the rough times of my parents divorce when I was 10 y/o or my mother's passing when I was 16.
Everyone always tried to make it something special for myself and sister when we were young no matter what was going on. I now believe that is why I love this time of year more than any other because of the efforts of my family to hold it above any other time of year. I get to make the season special for my boys now, whether it be by playing the music decorating the house and yard or just playing the dvd's. The memories the season has brought have always warm and it is no wonder why I look forward to making more of these memories every year. My favorite Christmas movie is A Christmas Story my favorite Christmas song is O Holy Night. My favorite Christmas artist is Bing Crosby.
Well if I ran on a little bit I am sorry I am new to blogging, it sounds always better in your mind.
I will try to keep posting and making it interesting for all who read.

I have been thinking about this for a few days now. As many of you know I am a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, I have been a fan of the team for nearly 30 years, but the last twenty have been very tough. The Bengals have had only 2 winning seasons in that time, and as a fan coming into this season, this was the year it was different we were going to go a long distance and maybe win the Super Bowl. Boy was I wrong.

I was six years old, and at that time I was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers (my older cousin I mentioned in a previous blog, persuaded me at a young age to be a fan) I remember watching highlights of games with my father and I saw the striped helmet, I instantly became a fan of the Bengals, mainly because I loved tigers at that age. The Bengals went to the Super Bowl that year and lost to the 49ers. I have been by their side since then, buying and receiving team merchandise, living and dying with the scores on Sundays, which is quite tough being in Massachusetts where it is all Patriots all the time now, but you go back 20 years ago you could not find a Pats fan around here, only since they won a few Super Bowls everyone is now a fan, but my support of my team has never wavered, even with all the bandwagon jumping "new" Pats fans have a laugh at my team.
This year has been the biggest slap in the face yet, I was so psyched for this season we had the talent, we had the swagger, we were ready! Then the games started 2 wins one loss after 3 weeks okay good start, then the bottom fell out, defense couldn't stop anyone, QB can't hit a wall that is 5 feet away from him, coaching staff that seems to have no clue. I feel like, I am done with football, I cannot take this losing with this team anymore, I haven't watched a game in weeks, and I don't really want to. I have to listen to the radio and the Patriots fans talk about Bill Belichick like he is god of football. I have my hockey, win or lose I enjoy watching the game. But 2 winning seasons in 20 years has done me in, the Bengals play on Thanksgiving night, I must make sure I don't eat to much, because if I see the game I am sure I will be sick. I say this now, but next year if they play well I will probably be right back there cheering them on, the plight of a fair-weather fan.
