Go with me for a moment to witness what was perhaps the foggiest night in history. The scene is very simple; youíll recognize it quickly. A grove of twisted olive trees. Ground cluttered with large rocks. A low stone fence. A dark, dark night.

Now, look into the picture. Look closely through the shadowy foliage.

See that person? See that solitary figure? Whatís he doing? Flat on the ground. Face stained with dirt and tears. Fists pounding the hard earth. Eyes wide with a stupor of fear. Hair matted with salty sweat. Is that blood on his forehead?

Thatís Jesus. Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Maybe youíve seen the classic portrait of Christ in the garden. Kneeling...

How Would YOU Feel ?

CLEAN BLOOD

The day is over, you are driving home. You tune in your radio. You hear a
little blurb about a little village in India where some villagers have died
suddenly, strangely, of a flu that has never been seen before. It's not
influenza, but three or four fellows are dead, and it's kind of interesting.
They're sending some doctors over there to investigate it.

You don't think much about it, but on Sunday, coming home from church, you
hear another radio spot. Only they say it's not three villagers, it's 30,000
villagers in the back hills of this particular area of India, and it's on TV
that night. CNN runs a little blurb; people are heading there from the
disease center in Atlanta because this disease strain has never been seen
before.

By Monday morning when you get up, it's the lead story. For it's not just
India; it's Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, and before you...

The Ultimate Interview

Posted 04-02-2011 at 02:45 PM by caninemom3

AN INTERVIEW WITH Jesus

Come in," Jesus said to me, "So, you would like to interview Me?"

"If you have the time," I said.

He smiled through His beard and said: "My time is called Eternity and is enough to do everything. What questions do you have in mind to ask me?"

"None that are new to you. What's the one thing that surprises you most about mankind?"

He answered: "That they get bored of being children, are in a rush to grow up, and then long to be children again.

That they lose their health to make money and then lose their money to restore their health.

That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live neither for the present nor the future.

That they live as if they will never die, and they die as if they had never lived..."

His hands took mine and we were silent. After a long...

Encouragement !!

Posted 03-30-2011 at 01:12 PM by caninemom3

A STORY TO MAKE US THINK....

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was
allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the
fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window.

The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for
hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their
jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on
vacation. And every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could
sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his room-mate all the things
he could see outside the window.

The man in the other bed began to live for those one-hour periods where his
world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the
world outside. The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and
swans played on the water...

For you Susy, Always My Angel and Friend As Well As my Mom xoxo

A CHILD'S ANGEL

Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. So one day she asked
God:

They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow but how am I going to live
there being so small and helpless?

Among the many angels, I chose one for you. She will be waiting for you and
will take care of you.

But tell me, here in Heaven, I don't do anything else but sing and smile,
that's enough for me to be happy.

Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you every day. And you
will feel your angel's love and be happy.

And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me, if I
don't know the language that men talk?

Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever
hear,...
