What was your first job?

What was the first job you ever had? Did you have any embarrassing moments? Any memorable moments?

My first job was when I was 15 years old. I worked for a Kellers Hamburger inside a flea market. I worked there a year and loved it. I went to school Monday-Friday and worked there every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am-6 pm. I even managed to go out with my friends every Friday and Saturday night then come home and stay up until 2 or 3 in the morning and make it to work! Nice being young. cheesy I can't do that anymore! I don't recall any embarrassing moments there but I am sure I had them!

At my second job, Dairy Queen, I just could not dip a cone. Every time I did, the ice cream would fall off the cone inside the chocolate. I think more frustrating than embarrassing.

Just got back from Target & walmart.
Have to say I am kinda disappointed. While target had a small selection of Easter dvd's (including a copy of Easter Parade, that was in a musical box set, not with the Easter things) Walmart had NOTHING.
An entire aisle of Candy, and not one copy of anything.
C'mon people!! not asking for much here. A couple dvd's for impulse purchases would be nice at least.

Loved him in the 80's and probably watched all his movies. His mother is reporting he had "flulike symptoms before the incident". My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

With all the goofiness and ignorance in the world today - it just makes me shale my head and say....fine ...i give up......
I miss the days of innocence and i guess naivety. The days when sitcoms were the norm for the family to sit down as a family to watch...the days when going out to eat with the family was a good thing - not a forced thing....the days when kids listened to parents because we respected them - not feared them....the days when a movie with a happy ending made people smile and feel good about the world instead of making them sigh - groan - and say- Oh Brother - Whatever.....the days when lessons could be learned from cartoons/TV shows/movies.......the days when getting up early on Saturday morning to watch 5 hours of cartoons while you ate a sugary cereal with an awesome toy in the bottom was at the top of your list of things to do for the weekend.
Yeah - i know i am on a rant......just tired of everyone being so freaking politically correct, fake, and non emaotional.....its just sad....
Oh well...bring me back to the 70s and 80s...heck...take me back to the 50s and 60s......the 2000s just bite!
