Jeff, I think you might be going through a bit of a funk because of the realization that by necessity, your diet has to change. This too will pass as you start to discover that there are many foods yet to be discovered that won't upset the apple cart and still are appealing to your taste buds. The main thing to remember is that food is not your enemy. Portion control and having treats in moderation is the key along with staying on the move with the exercise component of this lifestyle change. YOU CAN DO IT!
As far as fast foods go, etc...remember that even McDonalds has choices, apple walnut salad, green salads, apple dippers, etc. Keep some granola bars that you like as well as some of your favorite nuts and dried fruits with you as you travel to hold crazy hunger at bay. Don't stop eating! Hang in there!
