My Merry Christmas Announcement

Christmas Decorations Christmas is a hands-on art. From the lights we put on the house to the decorations we put on the tree to the great foods we eat in the process, Christmas is a time of doing -- and this is the place we gather to talk, plan and share.

I think quite a few folks leave their Christmas decor up until the Epiphany (Jan. 6th), but I took our stuff down on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. I usually have it down before NYE, but my tree was just so pretty that I just had to keep it up a little longer.

holly

The outside decorations will be down probably this week but inside is a different story !! I still have the tree up and am not planning on taking it down any time soon......perhaps toward the end of the month. I HATE it when the tree is gone. I get even more depressed than ever.........

I still have my tree up. I haven't decided when I'm taking it down.

It's not sucking up any more water, which means that it's going to start dying out really bad very soon and become a hazard. So yeah...I should start taking it down soon.

No one on my street has their Christmas lights on outside anymore and I think that's the saddest thing of all.

I took mine down on the 4th this year. We don't have a set day. It really depends wether I'm at home for New Years or not. Anytime between the first and the sixth is fine for us. Never a good day though, always pretty depressing.

I usually take down my outside lights and yard art around the end of the first week of January. I consider that time to roughly be the end of the Christmas season.
