they also have a stocking tree,kinda like a chrismas card holder.there are a few arms to hold the stockings on them.

I think wall hanging will do it

Unfortunately I'll be spending this Christmas without my family, just a couple of friends and I so I won't have this problem as there will only be 4 stockings to display, but I suggest you go for the wall hanging as this would really be useful, even if it looks rather funny. After all, you need to display all 26...Good luck!
