Christmas Decorations Christmas is a hands-on art. From the lights we put on the house to the decorations we put on the tree to the great foods we eat in the process, Christmas is a time of doing -- and this is the place we gather to talk, plan and share.

Congratulations! First Christmas together sure is a special one!

I suppose it comes down to what your personal taste is as well as your husband's tase. If you have different preferences then perhaps merging the two to create your own personal style as a couple.

We go for mostly traditional colours like gold, ivory, red, green, silver. A couple years back I found myself adding some purple sequined cushions into the mix though lol. But it worked!

You can always try something different every year until you find that perfect combination of colours and style that reflect you and your hubby.

Goodluck and have fun!!!!!!

We like traditional decor with a rustic, "primitive" feel. I do mix it up with some fun stuff for the kids (heck, if it's Christmasy and adorable, I will decorate with it!) but both my hubby and I like old-fashioned.

My taste is traditional as well. I decorate my house and tree with colored and white lights. I do this every year. All year around, my house is decorated country/primitive style, so I of course do this for Christmas too.
