For me, it's usually here in TX by the first of November. On one of our Costco trips we'll be looking through the freezer/fridge aisles and suddenly i'll be all, "EGG NOG!" and we'll pick up a case of about four cartons... and that lasts us until thanksgiving.

All year! I can't imagine that! Being able to grab some eggnog whenever the spirit moves you ...

But last night I made some Gluhwein (mulled wine)
yummy yumm..... I love love love it!

Since it is only a 2-figure number to christmas and today is a month that ends with -ber, I have started my christmas preparations 100%, with help from Gluhwein and christmas music....
Sounds great!

If you really want to try eggnog, why not make your own? It's really not that hard. And it's really delicious!

You can find a super easy recipe for it at http://reciperodeo.com/?p=1000

There are also several easy variations available at merrychristmasrecipes.com

I had an eggnog latte from Starbucks a few years ago and was nearly sick. Absolutely hated it. It's put me right off, but maybe a home made version would be better. I must give it another chance.

that's so funny, my son and I were in the grocery store yesterday talking about the same thing! He said we have to start looking as it should be out soon.
You can always make your own, I have a great recipe!

Most food stores carry eggo all year long. But this will not be cold type, just go top the baking isle and should see a really big can of eggnog. When I was in the navy traveled all over and saw it most places.
