Tonight my wife and I went to my families for Family Day dinner. On the way home I counted 5 homes and 2 cranes (401 & Yonge) that still had their Christmas lights up. There is a house 5 homes down from mine that has their lights up.

I seen a house with Christmas window clings still up.
Theres a house near to us that has had there christmas clings still up for almost 2 years, abit overkill i think, where i come from "christmas season" means "christmas season" and not having decorations still up coming up to march but thats my opinion anyway.

While I'm enjoying the LAST candy cane left over from Christmas 2012, I noticed that my neighbours across the street from me still have their lights up. So, that makes a total of 2 houses in my area with their lights on...STILL. AWESOME!

So the good news about setting the clocks ahead is that I get home from work and it's still light out.... The bad news is, I can't tell who still has Christmas lights up! As of last Friday, there were still 2 houses.

Two years ago when I first put up the window lights which involved alot of messing about with pinning hooks into the ceiling etc I ended up leaving them up after christmas. The following christmas they were already in place lol. I did the same thing last christmas. We don't light them through the year or anything and actually you don't really notice them. This last christmas, I noticed my neighbour hasn't bothered taking down his roof icicle lights. Like us he doesn't light them during the year. I don't blame him , it's not easy putting them up so why not . The season soon comes round and that way it's one less thing to do lol !
As the window lights are in place I light them up For Halloween !
