Renovation For Christmas

We've had some work done on our house recently and as Christina and I made the plans and choices that went into the changes, a lot of our thoughts went to Christmas...Where will we put the tree, what areas outside will we light, is the mantle big enough for the Santa collection...Amazing how our whole world sort of revolves around the six weeks or so when we are decorated for Christmas...Thank GOD!!!

I did the same thing during our last remodel. I made sure electrical receptacles were in just the right place for lights (even outside for net lights on the shrubs, and along the roofline for icicle lights), and certain spaces were left open for other decorations.

You gotta have priorities.

I love the way you guys think!!

We did the same thing recently, when we moved. The first thing we looked at was where we'd put the tree & my Christmas village.

So exciting!!

Oh yes, we were all meant to be here...."Birds of a feather" sort of thing! When I finished my basement and built the addition on the house, one of the first things I did is to make sure there was a quad receptical just right off of every 90 degree corner so that I can plug the Christmas tree lights into..... You just gotta love it!

My thoughts exactly! We had a lot of work done here too and I kept saying to my husband, "but now for Christmas, we'll need this or that" for decorating...the world may think we're nuts, but we know the truth, right? LOL!
Doesn't if make you more excited for the next season? It'll be fun to have some new spaces to make merry!

Only 6 weeks? You mean you don't start decorating for Christmas in July?

Agree with Made, those pictures look great! =)

I know what you're talking about. We have a couple of projects going on in the house right now, and I always think about the Christmas decorations.
