Fluffy buttermilk biscuts

2 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup butter milk

mix all dry ingredients together, cut in the butter till very fine crumbed
add all butter milk and mix just until it all holds together
(may need to add a bit more 1 tablespoon at a time, but be careful, if it is to wet you will not be able to work with it)
form into a ball
place on lightly floured counter
pat down with hand until about 1/2 inch thick
fold in half
repeat 6 times (this gives you lots of light flaky layers)
then pat down one more time to 1/2 inch thick and cut with round cutter. Place 1/4 inch apart on cookie sheet or baking stone
bake at 375' for about 12 min, until light brown

enjoy

Thanks CS! I have buttermilk in the fridge to make German Pancakes, but I won't use it all, so I might have to try these. Mmmm!
