I just bought my first one! I was surprised at how hard they were to find, only our local Target seemed to have them. This one is cloth and in the shape of a Christmas tree, a little wooden candy cane on a string goes in each pocket. I'm going to put a Hershey Kiss in each day, we can talk about Jesus and then my son can take out the Hershey kiss and replace it with a candy cane each morning. Can't wait!
SOOOO, I forgot to do my Advent Calendar this morning. NEW TRADITION- we'll do advent at night- is that bad? I figured since I forgot anyway (I even forgot to pick up a bag of Hershey kisses!) I might as well do it tonight when the Christmas tree is on so that we can spend as much time as we want talking about Jesus. Plus, I'm not too keen on my 4 year old having a Hershey Kiss for breakfast. We''l just begin with 12/02- we've never done it before so he won't know the difference.
