Ha! John Tesh Christmas! Unfortunately, he does. I've heard that one song of his so many times on other stations and then he has the nerve to play it once in a while on his own program! I sent him an email and told him to get with the program and play some Christmas music and then of course 2 days later he does. But, I got one back that said that they don't have the programming info. for my local station and to check with them. So, I guess he's blaming the playing of Footloose on Wish 99.7 after midnight! I guess it's all ok now since he's playing Christmas music now but, next year he'd better look out because I'll send him another email if I have to and I might tell him to omit his music from his program just for the fun of it!

KUT – Austin, Texas

Sorry this is short notice, but I just found it!

Hear the Kelly Willis and Bruce Robison’s Holiday Show live on KUT Monday, December 8, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Central Time on Eklektikos

Live with a listen link - http://kut.org/

Eklektikos is one of those locally produced public radio shows that I am so fond of. Search your local station and add more Christmas programming here. I'm always wanting to discover more shows like this!

"American Routes" - Christmas 2008

http://www.amroutes.org/stations.html

Another don’t miss show! – American Routes coming up this weekend on public radio.

The 2008 Christmas show is a repeat from last year. From the webpage:

Xmas with Diana Krall and the Heath Brothers

There's no place like home for the holidays. Our guests for this holiday version of American Routes wax nostalgically in words and music. Jazz pianist and singer Diana Krall recalls her childhood on Vancouver Island and how those traditions are being carried on in her own home today. Jimmy and Tootie Heath of the Heath Brothers reminisce about a life in jazz and late brother Percy. Baby, it's cold outside. Stay in, snuggle up and enjoy.

Here’s the playlist - http://www.amroutes.com/programs/shows/20071219.html

The Bone Conduction Music Show Christmas Extravaganza!

The third don’t miss Christmas show!

This Sunday (December 21, 2008) from 6pm to 11pm, ET at www.thayrone.com Though the “Bone Conduction Music Show” only runs on one radio station in Ann Arbor, Michigan, you can tune in via internet! The best part is, a couple of days afterward, you can download the show in one-hour increments for a limited time. A playlist will be available as well. There are playlists going back about ten years as a matter of fact!

As host Thayrone X says, “Record the BCMS Christmas Extravaganza! It makes perfect sense pool side in July! Come in on two wheels!”

'A Prairie Home Companion'

http://prairiehome.publicradio.org/

One other nationally syndicated public radio show with Christmas content coming up this weekend to mention is “A Prairie Home Companion.” If you listen to public radio at all, you will be familiar with this popular radio show. PHC is a live stage show featuring music, monologs, comedy sketches, and just about anything else they can think of.

There are links to stations carrying the show and to archived programming! Check out an old Christmas show to give you an idea of what to expect!

From the web page (as of post time):

December 20, 2008

This week on A Prairie Home Companion we welcome some old friends to The Town Hall for the holidays, including Robin & Linda Williams, Walter Bobbie, mezzo-soprano Jennifer Rivera, and the Pavlishyn Sisters. Also with us, the family we take for granted, The Royal Academy of Radio Actors: Tim Russell, Sue Scott, and Fred Newman, and The Guy's All-Star Shoe Band: Rich Dworsky, Pat Donohue, Andy Stein, Gary Raynor, and J.T. Bates.

Got this today from WPRB:

Jon Solomon’s one man radio show runs from 6:00 p.m. ET Christmas Eve until 6:00 p.m. ET Christmas Day and has done so every year since 1988, back when he was fifteen years old. 2008 marks the 21st edition of Jon’s show – 24 hours full of rare, strange and confounding records that are all holiday-related. Over the past two decades this show has become a Delaware Valley tradition with a devoted following world-wide. Here are two great stories that ran about last year’s show:

New York Times: http://is.gd/cco0
Fox 29 (video): http://is.gd/ccob
