Football Family Fun
Well my daughter started on her first year of flag football today! She did really well - and i am not saying that just because i am the head coach of her team! She and the other kids had a ball. She is 5 years old and towers over the other boys on her team that are 6.
We won 20-13 as well - and although i expressed over and over to the kids - this is only about fun at this age....... it was nice to win our first game. Anyway - i thought i would share a few photos with you all (this post and next). My daughter (Noel - yes named after Christmas) is number 6 in the photos, and i am the big ugly guy coaching em..... Enjoy! ![]() ![]()

That's so awesome they won! Wish we had it here for the kids. I coached my daughters T-Ball not this summer but last and it was a blast. I just loved being with the kids. Although I told them all my name they all called me coach. It was the sweetest thing. And one little boy (Drake) brought me flowers on one of the game days. It was alot of fun...I really enjoyed it!

congrats on the first win....always great to introduce kids to sports...they usually put a lot of effort in it...without even knowing tho....and they give back too.

As an avid football fan myself (Go Cowboys!) I think it's more than awesome that your daughter is playing flag football. Introducing girls to sports in general is so wonderful for their self esteem.
I love the pics!!! Thanks for sharing! Diana

I agree! It really does build confidence and self-esteem. And according to studies that have been done girls who participate in sports are less likely to drop out of school, more likely to go on to college, and more likely to graduate from college. It's awesome that you are coaching your daughter's team. She will remember this forever! Have fun!

I also read that a lot of children are top in their sports...usually are top in the academic part as well....because they refuse to fail and put in a lot of effort in whatever they do....at least with girls
