Some digital "still" cameras even have a simple video/audio mode.

That's what I use for you tube videos.

Tech Tips

1- Speak in a normal conversational tone
2- Position the microphone two to three inches from and slightly lower than your mouth
3- Don't be tense. Just picture us all around a table having a friendly convesation
4- Make sure your recording environment is quite. Turn off TV, radio, phones, etc.
5- If you mess up a line, pause for about three seconds and pick back up at the beginning of that line. This avoids stopping and starting your recorder. Remember, I can edit.
6- Avoid recording in a large room (too much reverb)
7- Do not hold the recorder/mic in your hand. Sit it on a table.

Most folks do not like the sound of their own voice. I know I don't like mine. That doesn't stop me from talking with friends though!

Funny you should say that. I did a wedding on Saturday which was webcast. When I got home, I went onto the internet to watch it and was surprised at the timbre of my voice. I always hear it "lower" than it actually came across!

If I remember right once the thing is set up you dial a phone number and record your message.

Sure! It may be tomorrow before I can listen.

email all submissions to RadioJonD@yahoo.com

I suppose we could cut the amount each person has to record by just choosing certain sections. The reason I don't want each person to read/recite just one line is for the overall flow of the poem.

Good! A German accent is needed, especially for the Donder and Blitzen part!

PM or email me for a street address if you want to send a tape/CD, etc.
