Sometimes---I haven't used tinsel garland or icicles in a few years, though. We have a small tree and numerous ornaments, so the garland gets in the way of seeing the ornaments. And the icicles---I love the way they look, but they stick to your clothing and follow you all around the house!

We use to when I was growing up and then we switched to garland. This year I went out and bought a prelit tree and just added the ornaments. Now That I think about it I do miss the tinsel in some ways but I dont miss the picking it up off the carpets until february!

I don't use tinsel. We used to put icicles on our tree at my mom's house but when we had cats they would eat it. So we quit and never went back. It makes tearing the tree down take longer too because you have to take all of that off the branches. Now I just use scarfing instead of garland.

We always used icicles when I was growing up, but we don't use that or garland anymore. I always liked the way icicles looked, but it seems that went out of style. They can be a bit messy.

When I was a kid we did the tinsel, but not any longer. especially with cats when they eat it the clean up is not fun.
