When I don't feel like exercising - I put on music guaranteed to make me dance. Works every time!

Dancing is good exercise! I do that too when the kids come over. We blast the music and all start dancing.

exercise, to most it is a vile word no??? I lean toward activity (I got that from Weight Watchers). I lost 38 pounds with them, and I believe what I have been reading here, it isn't a diet - it is a way of life and well I have to have activity or I put weight on, I don't go to the gym, I've never been able to "stick" with that but now I hike from October thru March every weekend sometimes up to 20 mile hikes and from March thru to October I MT Bike, these can be 15 mile courses or less, I really love the outdoors and it makes me feel alive and happy to be where I am. I also learned some tricks from joining WW, I now park the spot the farthest spot from the store and any time I can I use the stairs, or go to the tea shop that is a little longer walk, anything to add activity to my day... Walking the dog too, I take her on nice long walks for her and for me

Amen sister! I am in the same boat as you! I lost 35-40 lbs with WW in '09 & now I crave exercise. (I would have never in a million years thought that I would be saying that!) I think the trick is to find something you enjoy doing! I like to walk & I like to ride bicycle, so those are my 2 main forms of exercise. In the winter I take a spinning class & I walk outside (when it's not icy) & I walk inside our elementary school at night or in our house with the Leslie Sansone - Walk Away The Pounds dvds. Who needs the gym???

I'm going to be honest, I really don't like to exercise. What works for me is walking. Walking my dogs gives me a reason to just get out there and do it. Right now I walk in the morning and evening, it's way too hot to take them out in the middle of the day. Can't wait for the cooler weather so I can get out there three times a day.

I have a hard time forcing myself to exercise, I don't enjoy it and I feel like I have so many other things to do instead. I've started lifting weights again because it's one thing I somewhat enjoy doing

Here is what I have hanging on my fridge:

Being overweight is hard.
Losing weight is hard.
Maintaining a healthy weight is hard.
Choose your hard!

Ya...there are days when I get up and think "You've got to be out of your mind, ChristmasHeart...who gets up at 3:30am to run????" When that alarm goes off at 3:30am - well...some mornings I want to just crawl back into bed. BUT...once I wake up a few minutes later - and especially after I run...I feel like a million dollars, and am happy I made myself do it! I LOVE running!!!

JeanetteDi has shown a merry disposition
I normally have a 30 minute workout I will do on my lazy days, because it keeps me mentally feeling good, and prevents my slipping away from routine. But nothing feels better than the days when Spring starts to return, and outdoor adventures provide the ultimate workout experiences!
