"The 100 Greatest Christmas Hits of All Time with Wink Martindale"

Commercial broadcast radio stations have an option for "The 100 Greatest Christmas Hits of All Time with Wink Martindale" from Radio Express (the same folks that bring you Rick Dees every week).

If you catch it on your local station, follow along with this convenient cue sheet!

From the webpage:

The 100 Greatest Christmas Hits of All Time with Wink Martindale is a 10-hour radio countdown of the 100 best-loved Christmas songs, with insightful stories behind the songs and interviews with the stars, plus bonus tracks and special features.

What are the all-time favorite hits of Christmas? What inspired them, who made them famous and why has hearing them every year become a popular tradition? This 10-hour special counts down all of your favorite Christmas hits from Number 100 to Number 1, based on Billboard charts and radio airplay over the last decade. Every Christmas evergreen is here, from the past and present, upbeat or sentimental. It's a portrait in sound of your favorite music, magic and memories. The stories you'll hear are funny, moving or outrageous, but all are unforgettable.

One Hundred Thousand Watts is listing KXXN-FM in Wichita Falls, Texas as all Christmas music. There is no online listen link so we are at the mercy of someone living in the area to make the connection here. I don't know of any MMC member there.

From what I can piece together via the internet, the sale of KXXN-FM was finalized in September. Before going on the air by the new owners today as all Christmas, the station was silent. Just think of folks living there digging around on the radio and discovering an old frequency alive again but with all Christmas tunes! Most will probably not like it.

"As Wichita falls... so falls Wichita Falls." Does anyone else remember the movie 'Ice Harvest' from 2005 that takes place at Christmastime?

Why is it that when I go to MusicChoice.com, and click on "Sounds of the Season", the music doesn't start up? Am I doing something wrong?

Yeah! You should be listening to Merry Christmas Radio! Ok, seriously I don't know.

Boston, Massachusetts is aboard the Christmas music train...that is, for those with HD radios.

WODS-HD3, "Boston's Holiday Music Channel" - with an online listen link.

So if my local station doesn't pick it up, I'm out of luck - well they won't, but as long as it has a "listen live" link, I can pick up most stations on the internet.
