I will do that fresh cut of the trunk.....that was my problem last Christmas.....the tree lost so many needles....even tho it was fresh....the problem was....since I didnīt cut the trunk....the tree...
For me, it's usually here in TX by the first of November. On one of our Costco trips we'll be looking through the freezer/fridge aisles and suddenly i'll be all, "EGG NOG!" and we'll pick up a case of about four cartons... and that lasts us until thanksgiving.

that's so funny, my son and I were in the grocery store yesterday talking about the same thing! He said we have to start looking as it should be out soon.
You can always make your own, I have a great recipe!
Most food stores carry eggo all year long. But this will not be cold type,just go top the baking isle and should see a really big can of eggnog. When I was in the navy traveled all over and saw it most places.
