Of course it would be! Iím at work again and canít listen/record! Well, I guess I could via tune in app on phone but I donít have much monthly bandwidth left for July. Phooey!

Actually, itís not really the Christmas music of the stations that stunt that intrests me. Itís the station jingles (pun intended) and promos relating to all Christmas and/or Christmas in July. Quite likely that is the only time one will hear those. Unless, of course, the station changes formats again and stunts with all Christmas.

Well, now that it's August, are they still playing Christmas music? Or have they switched over to the new format yet?

DAR.fm Club?

Here's an idea I've been thinking about of which I don't want to open a dedicated thread at the present time. So, here it is for the folks I think may be most interested.

Would anyone be interested in the creation of a shared DAR.fm account for capturing Christmas radio stations/shows? (We have about four months to prepare.) A basic account is free and there are three paid Pro levels of which I think the lowest would work for us.

PM me for more information if interested and let's keep discussion here to a minimum.

Again, this is an idea I'm kicking around. I surely plan on keeping my own account active!

How many others here have their own DAR.fm accounts, basic or otherwise?

I still can't get it to work either, but the old website is still up and I've not read anywhere of the station switching over to it's new format yet.

At any rate, if they are still airing Christmas music, I don't think it counts as a "Christmas in July" event anymore...

I have an account, and I've enjoyed using it...I would be open to exploring a group account.

Kansas Public Radio - KNAU, Lawrence, Kansas USA

Adding as a bookmark for next year...

Kansas Public Radio celebrated Christmas in July for 2013 by mixing Christmas music in their regular programming. I found this by typing "Christmas" in KPR's search box.

From the webpage:

Everybody talks about the weather, but FINALLY Kansas Public Radio is doing something about it. On Thursday, July 25, the forecast is for cold temps and snow on KPR.

In an effort to cool things off from the hot temperatures that have scorched the KPR listening area for several weeks, KPR will be having "Christmas in July."

During all local programming on July 25, KPR will be playing secular Christmas songs or music with a suitable wintry feel, from Vivaldi's "Winter" Concerto and Vaughan Williams' Sinfonia Antartica to "Baby, It's Cold Outside" and "Winter Wonderland." It won't be as much about Christmas as it is about creating a cold, wintry mix that will make the heat outside just a little more bearable, at least for a day.
