I've never gone out on Turkey Day.I just wanna be with the family. I'd rather wait until the actual Black Friday to shop/

Personally, I think it's sad that it takes place. In the end, I get that it's all about the bottom line, but those working aren't the ones benefitting from the bottom line.

It is what it is, I'm just so happy that I don't work in retail. Hate it for those that do!

I don't like the idea of stores being opened on Thanksgiving Day either. I worked in retail, KMart for 20 years. Our store has since closed, but the last few years we were opened, EVERYONE was expected to work at least part of the day. I always worked the morning shift, so at least I was able to have dinner with my family. I always feel bad for those who can't. Now, I wouldn't even think of going to a store on that day. I have braved the stores on Black Friday, and haven't decided if I'm going shopping that day or not.
