I want to thank everyone at MMC for including "Pink Christmas" in the Merry Podcast #32 this month. There are some very good songs on there covering a wide variety of topics. If you haven't had a chance to listen yet, I can recommend downloading a copy. It's certainly worth the effort.
There seems to be a fair number of musicians and singers on this site. The sheet music for "Pink Christmas" is available for anyone to download at my website: www.szabosongs.com
Click on the "Free Stuff" button.
If you're a singer and don't play an instrument, I also have the accompaniment tracks available for you to download in all twelve keys. Again just click on the "Free Stuff" button.
If you're wondering why I'm making these items available for anyone to download, you can get the full back story on "Pink Christmas" by clicking the video link on the signature line below.
The short version is I know first hand how some families struggle with breast cancer during the holidays. Sometimes those afflicted can talk about it and sometimes they can't. Listening to "Pink Christmas" together is a way to share feelings without ever having to say a word. It's like a very good Hallmark card that you can just open, read, and get it. For families with some musically talented members, the effect is so much more personal and enhanced when it is performed by a loved one. When I first sat my wife down to listen to this composition years ago, as she wiped away the tears she said, "You really nailed it honey...especially with that first verse".
I hope your family can find some comfort with this song this Christmas.
