present Gift Wrapping Idea

Here is a great idea for all of you who may have never tried this. Instead of using ribbon on my packages after wrapping them. I take some of the same paper I used to wrap the gift, cut it into strips, and curl it with a pair of scissors. Works great and looks even better because it matches the wrapping paper, tape the curls onto the package and top it with a bow. (I learned this trick ages ago from my boyfriends mother). She was pretty crafty!

I havd done this, and I have used different colors than the one used on the gift. This is good for not wasting the last of the paper if you have a piece left on the roll that is not big enough to wrap another gift. Thanks for reminding us!

I realize this was posted months ago, but I still would like to reply.
I have never heard of this before. Thanks for this tip. This is a great idea to do with scraps of the paper as someone suggested. Angiejo
