I agree with the review. My son really liked the Happy Elf last year...but then again he was only 2 years old and probably didn't truly understand the concept of everything that was going on...just liked the songs and watching the computer animation. I thought Harry Connick was trying to go for the Fred Astaire/Burl Ives type gig myself as a narrarator role...just couldn't pull it off when trying to compare with those two, but I did find it neat that they were able to use Mickey Rooney's voice (he voiced the original Santa in "Santa Claus is coming to town" among other Rankin/Bass shows as Santa) and such. Other than that, I agree with your review about the majority being silly and how some of the modern stuff (like taser guns, etc) is a tad questionable for a Christmas cartoon. They certainly do not make them like they used to.

For a future review, you should evaluate the Polar Express and provide your opinions on if it is something worth watching. It could be a better source of entertainment and perhaps one that you'll recommend to both kids and grown ups alike. Thanks for taking the time to review the Happy Elf.

I have, didnt watch the whole thing, would glimpse at it here and there when it was on. It was (OK) Not my favorite, Annabelles wish is much better! But hey, I had to buy it. The box it came in, Harry Conick Jr sings the Happy Elf song and it lights up when you push a button and my daughter at the time like 2 or 3 years old just "had to have it"
