Happy Jack O Lantern Day #7!

One movie makes sense for tonight, and that's the original "Halloween". The night he came home. Tomorrow, is the day all of us come home as we welcome back The Bers for the next four months!

Happy Jack O Latern Day. This is probably my favorite JOL day since it ushers in the BERS. The Halloween playlist is on and it will be joining the permanent rotation in about a week or so. I will definitely find a Halloween/scary movie to watch tonight too. I will probably start watching them more regularly after the holiday weekend.

Happy JOL Day #8! Today is the last Jack O Lantern Day of the year. It honestly makes me sad to write that. I am so glad that we collectively made the decision to add three more JOL Days to our lineup of MMC Special Days.

When we wake up tomorrow, OCTOBER is here. Have a great JOL Day!

I resisted picking up a dozen Apple Cider donuts to celebrate JOL Day because I knew I would eat them all, but I do hope to pick up a half-dozen and invite my siblings over to enjoy with me some cool Saturday morning. So putting out my Black Cat decor and enjoying the almost Full Moon rise will be how I ring in our last JOL Day!

My black cats are out and parading across my flower island. Apple Cider donuts sound so good. Happy JOL Day. Can't believe it is the very last one. Like @SolidSnake84, so glad we have this additional JOL Day!

I just heard from my niece that two local pumpkin patches think this will be there last weekend??!! Between the poor pumpkin growing conditions and a beautiful weekend, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. One of them posted on Facebook that all remaining pumpkins are $3!

Well, we have went through all of our JOL Days now for 2023. Just a tinge of sadness writing that, even though we have all of October ahead of us now, and our BIG DAY, HALLOWEEN, is now only 30 days away!

A big thank you to you, @SolidSnake84 for this thread and all your posts. JOL Days and Dark Arts Sundays have been a great addition to my year round journey of enjoying my love of the holidays. I use to buy into the idea that it would make holidays feel less special if I didn't confine them to a certain timeframe, but no longer. Thank you!

Thanks for the kind words. I remember when JOL Day really changed my life during the pandemic, I just felt like we needed more happy / special days, and it just stuck around after that. They are a mainstay now, and I always want to find ways to make them more special. Even on Halloween kickoff weekend, I started thinking about 2024 JOL Days and what, if anything, I can tweak or fine tune!
